Last year I found this wall mural in the small town of Sao Carlos, Brasil. The left side of the wall is made of tile and where it had eroded on the right side a local artist made a connection between the tile geometry and Islamic art and created this image of a woman using matching geometric patterns.
Homework:
1. Copy one classmates CRAZY HORSE problems and try solving on your own.
2. Make sure to complete your Islamic Art design by the next class period.

Learning Objective: Today we will start with a mini lesson on why we multiply by the reciprocal of the second term in a division problem involving fractions. Afterwards, you will teach me one of the three conversion methods from our last class and how to do an addition, subtraction, or multiplication problem involving fractions.
Homework: Come up with a CRAZY HORSE problem of your own that combines the four basic operations (+, -, x, and /), fractions, and order of operations. It should have at least 8 terms and you will have to provide a solution given step by step. Due by the next class.
September 15 (B)
Learning Objective: Today we will take a Formative Assessment on what we have learned involving integers and then we will investigate how to convert between decimals, fractions, and percents.
Task #1: Review the following links and complete the "Your Turn" for each please.
