Checkpoint #7

Objective:  This week will we be practicing our science fair presentations.  There are two documents that we will use to guide our presentations and peer review each other.  Hang in there, we only have one week left until our hard work pays off

 

Checkpoint #6

Objective:  For the next two weeks, we will be working on creating our posters for the final science fair presentation.  Checkpoint # 6 is in the ASM Science Fair Drive (each class has their own).  Do not make a copy because we are all working on the same document. 

Deadline:  I will be printing these posters on May 16

 

Checkpoint #5

Objective:  Today we are going to create our data tables and graphs that will be used in our posters for the science fair.  Checkpoint #5 can be found in this link

Deadline:  This is due by the end of the week!  Tomorrow, on our day off I will be checking all classes to make sure that they have Checkpoints #1-4 completed and placed neatly in their ASM SCIENCE FAIR folders.  Keep up the diligent work

Checkpoint #4

Objective:  Today we will begin the very important task of writing out our experimental design using this document.  By the beginning of next week, you should be able to carry out step 4 of the scientific method as shown below.

Deadline:  This is due on April 13 and then we will be back on schedule for the other deadlines found on the amazingly beautiful poster at the bottom of the page.

 

Checkpoint #3

Objective:  Today we will review Checkpoint #2 and then we will begin doing the research paper portion for Checkpoint #3 which is already uploaded in the Drive.

Deadline:  Checkpoint #3 is due on March 30. 

 

Checkpoint #2

Objective:  This week we will create a research question and set up our experimental design on paper.  In your Science Fair folder you will find the Checkpoint #2 document (it is pink and blue).  

Deadline: Checkpoint #2 is due your last class of the week for March 23

 

Checkpoint #1.5

Objective: You begin researching topics related to climate change/the environment that interest you.  Based on your research, you will come up with a question that you will use as the basis for your experiment .  Click here for the work document

Deadline:  Checkpoint 1.5 is due next Friday for Io, Europa, Ganymede and on Thursday for Callisto (last class of the week).  We will review both Checkpoints!

 

Checkpoint #1

Objective:  Today we will introduce the ASM Science Fair with its theme The Paris Agreement.  To learn about what this agreement is, we will complete adocument using the resources below.  Have a fun time learning and be productive!
